Dr Nookey 'discovers' a medical slimming cure while in exile on a far off island. He returns and goes into partnership with Ellen Moore.
In the meanwhile Dr Carver has been sent out to this far off island and when he returns to find Dr Nookey in a Harley Street practice he, with the help of Dr Stoppige, set out to expose him as a fraud.
Great jokes and action from the Carry On team.

Carry on Again Doctor review

Carry on Doctor review

Jealousy and envy as the popular Doctor Kilmore is 'stitched' up by the Matron and Dr Tinkle after Kilmore tries to expose the past of Tinkles' affair with Nurse Sandra May.
Brilliant Carry On from Gerald Thomas and Peter Rogers sees Tinkle and the Marton get their cumuppance.
Frankie Howerd makes the first of his two Carry On appearances.
The rest of the gang take it fairly easily as patients.
Sid James was making his comeback after a heart scare.
All the medical Carry On's are just brilliant and this one is no exception

The Yellow Rolls-Royce (1964) review

This 1964 film from Director Anthony Asquith has it all, in my opinion, Love, betrayal, conflict, War, Passion and Dishonesty.
It covers the various owners of the Yellow Rolls Royce as it changes hands over the years.
Starting with it visiting Ascot Races and showing us the traumatic relationship between Lord and Ladt Frinton and her lover to a War torn area in Eastern Europe where love finds Ingrid Bergman in the form of Omar Sharif.
An excellent film and well worth wathcing - even with the Crooks of the South Of France headed by George C Scott and Shirley MacClaine.
Just one of my all time favorite films

Carry on Cowboy review

I have always loved the Carry On films since first seeing them and I count Carry On Cowboy as one of my all time favorites.
Set in a town run by outlaws, the local Sherriff is shot and they send in Marshall P. Knutt - a Plumber from England, mistaking him for a real Marshall, to sort out the town. The fun then really starts.
Add in the usual mix of odd characters, the local Mayor, the local Indian tribe whose leader and chief doesn''t like fighting, but only drinking firewater, and you have the mixture for a truly good comedy, and this film certainly delivers.
I believe Sid James said this was one of his favorite movies to make in the Carry On series of films and when you watch him playng the Rumpole Kid you can see why.
A lovely little Carry On Classic from the 1960's.

Hue and Cry review

Set in the early Post War streets of London this film follows a group of boys with vivid imaginations and think that a gang of thieves are operating out of local fruit and veg market.
The leader of the gang, Joe Kirby, convinces his cohorts that they are following instructions being produced in a local comic. Alistair Sim is brilliant as the author of the stories in the comic.
Some brilliant sequences follow set alonside the dour bombings of London. A good film and thorouhly enjoyable experience.
